100 g sugar
100 g canola oil
180 g milk or soy milk
245 g self rising flour
2 apples
1 lemon
20 g pinenuts
8/ 10 tea spoons apricot jam

Apples cake in the skillet


Winter time .... smells of apples cakes!

A very fast to make and delicious apples cake with pine nuts!

It’ s winter and now the apples are delicious! I love to bake my cake with cast iron skillet… the cooking is so homogeneous!

The Finex  cast iron skillet are even  so beautiful that I love to serve my cake into them … Perfect for an elegant afternoon  tea with friends!

Peel and cut the apples into small pieces, place them in bowl and season with 1 tablespoon of sugar and lemon juice. Let them to marinate.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
In a bowl for a stand mixer, beat egg and sugar, add lemon grated zest. Mix well.
Add milk, canola oil and mix again.
Add self rising flour, mix well until you obtain an homogeneous mixture.
Add more than half chopped and marinated apples, mix with a spatula.
Pour the mixture into the pan with baking paper.
Level your cake .
On the surface distribute the remaining apples, apricot Jamie teaspoons and finally pine nuts.
Bake your cake for 45 minutes.
Serve warm or cold with a cup of coffee or tea... enjoy!
