200 ml milk
3 eggs
80 ml canola oil
1 bag Pane Angeli yeast
1 lemon

I totally agree … during cooking it leaves a sweet scent! When you eat a slice of this cake for breakfast, it is softer than the pillow you just left in the bed!

My Torta di Mele is Love and Happiness par excellence!





Cut apples into slices. Pour the slices in a bowl and let them marinate in lemon juice for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Line with baking paper a round 24 cm cake tin.
Place eggs and sugar in a stand mixer and whisk them until you get a light and fluffy cream.
Add milk and canola oil, mix well.
Add flour, yeast and work the mixture for 3 minutes.
Pour the mixture into the cake tin. The dough should be sufficiently dense to be able to place over the entire surface the apple slices, without sinking inside the cake.
Sprinkle with brown sugar and bake your cake to 180 degrees for 50 minutes.
Before turning out , I recommend you to do the toothpick test to see if the cake is well cooked inside,
Let it cool for at least 30 minutes.
Serve your Torta di Mele with a spoon of crema di zabaione! DELICIOUS!
