300 g whipped cream
200 g skimmed condensed milk
2 little cups ( 2 espresso) coffee from moka
1 pinch salt (facoltative)

COPPA DEL NONNO is a delicious coffee gelato, the favorite one of my husband who  has eaten in “industrial quantities” since he was a teenager.


You will not need any specific machine to make your delicious gelato al caffe …

… just some good ingredients !



Try it and I am sure you won’t buy any other coffee ice-cream anymore!

Whip cold cream and put it back in the fridge.
In a bowl mix with a spoon condensed milk with 2 espresso, both must be room temperature.
When they will be homogeneous pour in the bowl with whipped cream.
With a spatula start mixing from the bottom to up. This step will take some minutes.
When you have obtain a smooth and homogeneous cream, pour it in a plum cake tin. Cover with cling wrap without letting it touch with the cream.
Put your ice-cream in the freezer overnight.
Before serving, leave it out of the freezer for a few minutes to soften it a bit.
Serve your gelato in cup with some beans coffee.
